Atlanta's Culture & History
Well of course, Atlanta is located in the South. Atlanta is very popular regarding music. Many artists and muscians come to Atlanta seeking fame and fortune. Atlanta is one of the prettiest places in GA and well-known throughout the world. Its opportunities draw many citizens to the area. The culture has emerged into providing an environment for movie stars, muscians, professional business workers, and etc. On the other hand, Atlanta hasn't always been named what it is now. It was named Marthasville near the time of the Civil War. Regarding the Civil War, many of Sherman's soldiers destroyed the city and trashed the entire area. Ever since the reconstruction of Atlanta, city buildings has gradually risen to an all-time high. The battle of Atlanta was one of the turning points during the Civil War era and will forever be remembered. About a century later, Martin Luther King Jr. became one of the most influential Civil Rights leaders in the city. He had a postive effect regarding a negative environment. He's transformed the town and numerous ways while having many different landmarks in response to his success. Martin Luther Kind Jr. will forever be a leader and hero of the town. Regarding all of the history there is no other place like Atlanta! Atlanta is filled with copious amounts of history. Everyday you could easily learn something new.
